Identity Boutik / The right fit

Jewelry size guide.

Find your length. Find your fit. Necklace and bracelet guidance for women, men and kids, with measurements in inches and centimeters.

Measure the wearer, then choose the style.

These are general fit references, not a promise of where a piece will sit. Neck size, wrist size, height, body shape, beads and pendants all affect fit. Check the actual length and adjustment range on each product page. The guide does not mean every style is available in every length.

Measure a piece you love

Open the clasp, lay the necklace flat and measure end to end, including the clasp. Measure an extender separately unless the product states that it is included.

Preview a new length

For an adult, use a soft tape or a piece of string cut to the full necklace length. Drape it loosely around the neck and check the fall in a mirror. Never pull it tight.

Allow for the details

A pendant hangs below the chain; it is not usually part of the chain-length measurement. A 16-inch chain with a 2-inch extender can adjust from 16 to 18 inches.

The number is the full necklace length around the neck, not the distance from your neck down to the pendant. Each 2-inch step adds 5.1 cm of chain.

20 in 50.8 cm An everyday chain around the collarbone or upper chest.

02 / Bracelets

Start with your wrist measurement.

1. Measure

Wrap a soft tape around the wrist where the bracelet will sit. Keep it comfortably against the skin without squeezing. Or mark a strip of paper and measure it with a ruler.

2. Allow room

For a fine chain or link bracelet, adding ½ inch (1.3 cm) is a starting point. A fuller bead or charm bracelet may need more room. Follow the individual product’s sizing notes.

3. Check the fit

The finished bracelet should move comfortably without slipping over the hand. For an adjustable style, make sure your desired length falls within its stated range.

Wrist size and bracelet length are different measurements.

The examples below add ½ inch to a measured wrist. They are starting estimates for flexible chain bracelets, not fixed sizes for every design.

Bangles, cuffs and beads

Closed bangles: the opening must pass over your hand. Compare the inside diameter with a bangle that already fits; wrist circumference alone is not enough.

Cuffs: check the internal dimensions and opening. Avoid repeatedly bending a cuff unless the product specifically allows adjustment.

Beads and charms: larger beads reduce usable internal space. A listed end-to-end length can feel snugger than a fine chain of the same length. Ask us about the exact design if you are between sizes.

03 / Kids

Kids’ size guide

The same measuring method applies to boys and girls. Age or gender alone cannot determine a child’s size. An adult should measure the child, check the product’s intended age range and supervise wear.

Compare lengths on the same outline. This is not an age-based size recommendation; fit varies with the child’s measurements.

Measure a well-fitting necklace off the child, or ask us for help with the specific piece. Use these lengths for comparison, not as age-based recommendations.

Children’s necklace length comparisons
Length What to compare
14 in35.6 cm A shorter length; check that it is comfortably loose for the individual wearer.
16 in40.6 cm Adds 2 inches (5.1 cm) of chain compared with 14 inches and hangs lower on the same child.
18 in45.7 cm Adds another 2 inches; may be a longer style or fit an older child, depending on their measurements.
20–36 in Long adult-style lengths. Do not select these for a child without checking the fit and the product’s suitability.

Kids’ bracelets

Measure the wrist each time you order. These chain-bracelet examples are based on the measurement, not an age band. The bracelet should not pinch or slide off.

Earrings · understand the scale

Compare the millimeter dimensions with a pair you already own. Stud size is usually the face width; hoops may list an inner or outer diameter. Drop length is measured from the top of the earring to its lowest point. Check which measurement the product provides.

4 mm6 mm8 mm10 mm20 mm30 mm40 mm

Studs

4–6 mm gives a small accent. 8 mm creates a more noticeable face. Shape and setting affect the overall look.

Hoops

10–15 mm is compact; 20–30 mm adds presence; 40 mm feels bolder. A huggie’s fit also depends on your piercing placement.

Drops

Check total length and width. A 30 mm drop is 3 cm long; compare it with your usual earrings using a ruler.

Rings · measure the inside

Inside diameter · millimeters

For the most reliable fit, ask a jeweler to size the intended finger. As a starting estimate, measure the inside diameter of a well-fitting ring across its center, without including the metal band.

Wide bands may feel tighter. Temperature, time of day and your knuckle can affect fit. Do not assume an adjustable ring fits every finger or that every ring can be resized.

This is an approximate U.S. reference chart, not a printable ring sizer. Use the sizing system stated on the product page.
